Wagon

This is my 3D wagon made completely out of text and my thoughts on this is that it is truly a work of art. I feel that this piece was successful and that everything worked because I created the depth of field look that I wanted to create and i kept it nice and simple. The most difficult part about this project was getting the perspectives right and make it look decent, and I wouldn't ever do this project again because it is extremely time consuming. I learned that you can easily make a believable picture out of text and make it look really, really good.

Retouch-1

This is my second retouch photo, and I feel that this was more successful than the first, because it looks real and believable. I am very happy about this picture, and it was a fast, and good looking edit.

Blemish Girl

My overall thoughts on this piece is that it looks extremely professional and that it was extremely successful. I feel that this piece is successful because it all came together. This is the after picture of our blemish girl that i retouched.

Coke Splatter

This is my paint splatter image, and my thoughts on this is that it is pretty bland considering the fact that its basic and is done in a lot of television ads; however, I do feel that this piece is very successful because it looks professionally done, and is almost flawless. I feel that everything i attempted in this project worked, and it all came out to look good in the end. The only thing I feel that did not work was the paint to the arm transition, and if i had to do this project over again, I would make sure that the paint splat and his arm matched in terms of color. The most difficult part about this assignment was filtering out the coke splatter, and I learned how to make a near flawless blend from soda splatter to a human arm.

Distant City

This is a personal project I did shortly after I did the color wheel project. This took me about an hour to do and I feel that this has been my most successful piece. This picture uses three pictures from the internet; the desert road, the sky, and the distant city. I made the beam and lightning all in Photoshop with a few simple tools. I feel that the look of this project is amazing, and that it worked out great in the end. Since I did all of this from my mind, I didn't learn anything from it, but it was great Photoshop practice.

Color Wheel

This is my color wheel project, and my thoughts on this project are that it was somewhat successful, but it could be better overall. I feel this piece is moderately successful because I did the project, I just didn't step out of the box and do something "great" with it. I feel that the overall effect worked; however, it could have been a lot more exciting, and I would put some thought and creativity into this if I had to do it again. The most difficult part about this was going through each picture and manually and changing its color because it was tedious and it took a lot of matching to be able to get it just right. I learned how to make an interesting color wheel that could be used in a ad to catch young peoples eyes.

Space Painting

This is my space painting, and my overall thoughts on this piece is that it was a wonderful success. I feel that this piece was successful because everything that I tried to do worked out, and it all came together to fit in this wonderful piece. I feel that the only thing that was missing out was the stars. The stars seem a little to small to see, but at least they are there, and if I had to do this project over again, I would make the stars just a tad more realistic. This project was extremely difficult to create, and the "RGB Lights Nebula" was the hardest part to make. I learned how to get planets from other pictures and create realistic shading on the planets (although this picture is very un-realistic).

Colorized

This is a colorized picture of a dancer. My thoughts on this picture is that it was extremely simple, and easy to make. Even though this piece was easy to make, I feel that it has a great look to it. Everything worked with this project, and I wouldn't change anything if i had to do it again. There was no real difficulty to creating this, but finding the picture would be the hardest part if I didn't have it provided for me. This piece taught me how to blend colors onto black spots on the picture, and how to turn a picture to true black and white.

Newimal

This is my project of combining two animals and putting them into one, also known as a "newimal" or a "hybrid" animal. In this picture, I combined a bear and a kangaroo, and my thoughts on this picture are that it looks amazing and it was pretty easy. I feel that this piece was successful, and that most of everything that I did in this picture worked out. The only thing that didn't work is the blending between the bear head and the kangaroo's body. If I did this project over again, I would take just a little more time blending the bear head and the kangaroo's body. The most difficult part was the blending of the two layers, even though it might look good at a glance, you can see where I took the cloning tool right by the bears neck. I have learned how to blend two things together almost seamlessly, and how to clone flawlessly.

Brick Bike

In this picture, I have done the exact same thing as I did in the picture below. This picture features a random black bike that I took off the internet and I placed a brick texture over it. I feel that this piece is better than the cow splatter, because the overall look of this picture is more "grunge" and looks a whole lot better in my opinion.

Paint Cow

This is my cow with fake paint splats all over him. My thoughts on this piece is that it is an amazing piece because it looks like the paint is actually on the animal, and not edited in with Photoshop. I feel that this piece is extremely successful, and I feel this project worked because it was a very easy project and was done in a matter of minutes, plus it looks extremely professional. I feel that I should have went back and filled in the entire animal with paint splatters. The most difficult part about this task was using the "wave" tool to shape the paint around the animal, and I have learned how to successful warp and erase to get to the paint where something looks like it is "wrapped" around something else.

Cloning Yourself

In this photo, I took four separate pictures of myself while the camera was on a tripod, and I put them together and merged them into one. I feel that this picture is my best so far and it looks professional. I feel that the cloning worked and that everything tied together and looks great in the end, and I have nothing negative to say about it. If I were to do this project again, I would choose better poses and find a better background to shoot the photos at, but for what we had this looks pretty good. The most difficult part of this wasn't the photoshop work, it was actually choosing which place to stand, but in the end, it all worked out and I learned how to make yourself look cloned.

Frog Tongue

This is my "frog tongue" project, and my thoughts on this piece of work were better than my last picture. Not only was this picture more fun to make than the pancake picture, but i could actually use something like this in school (not the tongue itself but the "cloning stamp" tool). I feel that this picture was extremely successful in the fact that it looks realistic and cool at the same time. I feel that the cloning worked well enough to make it look believable, however I feel that the lighting did not work because I think I put to much lighting into the tongue. If I were to do this project again, the only thing I would change is the lighting on the tongue and I would also blend the frog in with the tongue a little bit better. The most difficult part about this was trying to make the clone look good, but in the end I learned about cloning, the dodge tool, and the burn tool.

Angry Pancake

My thoughts on my "angry pancake" are that it looks like a mouth is actually on the pancake. I feel that this piece looks one-hundred percent successful because it looks flawless and perfect from the blueberry eyes down to the fish mouth. I feel that everything worked with this project because I finished it in phenomenal time and I also have made it look very nice. If I were to do this project over again, I would find a better, scarier looking mouth and a higher resolution picture for the pancake itself. The most difficult part about completing this picture is that at when I first saw the picture, I thought to myself, "How am I going to do this?", but in the end I learned how to stretch the photo out and insert/blend the mouth.
